Rhino 2026 Customer Survey Results
Rhino’s 2026 Customer Survey reveals how tradespeople are really feeling - from rising costs and tool theft to time off work and the role insurance plays in protecting income, reputation and long-term stability.
Is it possible to read a news article or blog post these days without seeing coronavirus mentioned? Evidently not. And whilst the effects of the virus are still very much with us, and we’re all still working out how to get used to the thing, there are reasons to be optimistic.
I mean, the football is on practically every day (winner) and whilst it’s admittedly unnerving listening to crowd noise pulled straight from the latest game of FIFA, what’s the alternative? I mean there’s only so many times you can willingly agree to watch your partners choice of boxset (and I know you’ve had to sit through The Crown).
Back to work related matters though, and the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak, has announced The Green Homes Grant.
The grant is set to give thousands of homeowners access to vouchers for energy saving home improvements up to the value of £5,000. The government will cover two thirds of the bill (up to the £5,000) and the final third will be paid by the homeowner.
Whether that’s for the installation of cavity wall insulation or cash towards a new boiler, it’s hoped that the grant will help create new jobs for tradesmen throughout the country.
If your work has dried up somewhat, there are a few things that you can do to help get you back to work. Have a read of our post here.
Initially there was talk about £500 vouchers being made available for all adults to use on the high street. It sounded too good to be true and it unfortunately it proved to be just that.
So you can kiss the thought of Rishi pre-ordering you the PlayStation 5 goodbye, and if you just wanted to pop to the pub and buy a few rounds, well, you can still do but it’ll have to be with your own money!
What the government has introduced though is an ‘Eat Out To Help Out’ scheme in which on certain days throughout August you’ll be able to get 50% off your food bill up to the value of £10 per head at restaurants that have signed up to the scheme.
Not quite the free £500 that was touted but something to enjoy, nonetheless. I just hope it applies to Nandos…
