When isn’t Employers’ Liability Insurance a legal requirement?
Employers' Liability Insurance is a legal requirement for the majority of businesses with staff, however there is an exception.
Listen up tradesmen, we know that there’s nothing better than turning up that site radio and singing your heart out like no-one’s listening. We at Rhino HQ are always trying to keep our ear to the ground to seek out new music, new music that we just know you’d love to be butchering on site
Without meaning to channel the Fast Show’s ‘Jesse’, this week I have mostly been listening to The Killers, and their new album Imploding the Mirage.
The Killers are one of those bands that everyone seems like to have at least one song they like, and they seem to have been around since forever. The Killers have been at the forefront of many a radio station since they burst onto the music scene in 2003 with Mr Brightside, and although originally from the deserts of Las Vegas, slotted nicely into that ‘naughties’ wave of UK rock bands alongside the likes of Franz Ferdinand, The Kaiser Chiefs and Snow Patrol.
Interesting fact, Mr Brightside holds the record as the song with the longest stay in the UK top 100 chart (206 weeks to be precise).
So many albums and almost twenty years later, The Killers are back, and in my not-so-humble opinion, are better than ever.
As an album title, Imploding the Mirage hardly rolls off the tongue like 2003’s Hot Fuss, but it’s catalogue of tracks are a feast for the ears (is that even an expression?). It’s fist-pump worthy beats drive each song forward with anthemic force, and common moments of levity allow singer Brandon Flowers’ unique voice to add that surprise melancholy you didn’t know the song needed.
We partner with the UK’s only radio station dedicated to tradesmen, Fix Radio, and feel it’s important to balance working on the tools with keeping your spirits high. There are so many important factors to working as a tradesman, and alongside business insurance and site safety, we feel that a cracking soundtrack is arguably just as important.
