The top trade associations for your business

Bricklayers:

Association of Brickwork Contractors

Brickwork Contractors in the UK are represented by the Trade Body known as the Association of Brickwork Contractors (ABC).

Their main goal is to uphold the bricklayer's position and the brickwork contractor's influence during the planning and construction phases of a project.

They achieve this through improving and establishing industry standards in the vital fields of Health & Safety, Training & Assessment, Employment, and Quality Assurance in Brickwork Contracting.

Guild of Bricklayers

In order to promote and uphold the greatest levels of brickwork craftsmanship, the Guild of Bricklayers was established in 1932. Regional competitions are organised by the guild with assistance from their partners through the UK's network of construction colleges.

Plumbers:

Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors (APHC)

In collaboration with the government, local governments, labour unions, and consumer advocacy groups, the APHC works to promote a stable and sustainable market for all plumbing and heating businesses.

Because they are a non-profit organisation, they put every pound they get back into the organisation in order to directly benefit each and every member.

CIPHE - Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering

The CIPHE is a technical and professional organisation working to improve plumbing and heating standards for the benefit of the general public. From all facets of the plumbing and heating engineering services industry, it has more than 12,000 members.

Electricians

NICEIC - National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting

In the UK, NICEIC serves as the independent, voluntary organisation for the electrical contracting sector.

The NICEIC evaluates the skill of companies doing electrical work in the UK. When it comes to offering Competent Person Schemes in England and Wales to oversee electrical work covered by Part P of the Building Regulations, NICEIC is one of several organisations who have received government approval.

NAPIT - National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers 

The NAPIT association is dedicated to consumer safety across all industries. Their goal is to guarantee that consumers can have faith in the work carried out by their members.

In the building services industry, NAPIT is a well-known membership scheme operator that has received government approval and Accreditation Service (UKAS) accreditation. In the UK's household, commercial and industrial markets, there are presently more than 16,000 NAPIT-registered installers working in the fields of Electrical, plumbing, ventilation, building materials and more.

Builders

National Federation of Builders (NFB)

In England and Wales, builders, contractors, and home builders are all represented by the National Federation of Builders (NFB). One of the oldest trade associations in the UK, it was established to represent the building industry and enable its members to prosper.

NFB members have undertaken a number of reference checks and have been rigorously vetted, providing customers with assurance of safety and quality.

Federation of Master Builders (FMB)

The FMB is a trade organisation that was founded more than 60 years ago to safeguard the interests of small and medium-sized construction companies. It is now the largest trade association in the UK construction sector and carries a real seal of approval.

CORGI Services Ltd (CSL)

Previously the UK's watchdog for gas safety, CORGI today provides the plumbing and heating trades with a wide range of carefully chosen services and professional goods, including Technical, Boiler Technology, HomePlan, Controls, Fenestration and Vans.

British Woodworking Federation (BWF)
